आदिवासी जनजाति महासंघ अमेरिका (फिप्ना) को आयोजनामा नेपालका प्रथम शहिद लखन थापा मगरको १४८ औं स्मृति दिवस अमेरिकामा भव्य रुपमा मनाइयो।
नेपाल सरकारका महिला बालबालिका तथा जेष्ठ नागरिक मन्त्री नोबल किशोर शाह सुडीको प्रमुख आतिथ्य सम्पन्न भएको कार्यक्रमा विशेष अथितिको रुपमा प्रतिनिधिसभाका सदस्य सुशीला श्रेष्ठ र माननीय कमला बिक संविधान सभा सदस्य प्समेत उपस्थिति रहेको थियो। फिप्नाले प्रथम शहीद लखन थापा मगरको स्मृति दिवस बिगतदेखि मनाउँदै आईरहेको छ।
प्रथम शहिद लखन थापाको तस्वीरमा माल्यापर्ण तथा दीप प्रज्ववलन गरी कार्यक्रमको उद्घाटन गर्दै प्रमुख अथिति शाहले थापाको योगदानको कदर गर्नुभएको थियो। कार्यक्रममा बोल्दै उहाँले जनजाति, दलित मधेशीले आफ्नो अधिकार स्थापित गर्नका लागि एक जुट भएर अगाडि बढ्नुको विकल्प नभएको पनि बताउनुभयो।
