नेपाली पर्वतारोही प्रकाश राज पाण्डेले दक्षिण अमेरिकी महादेशको सबैभन्दा अग्लो शिखरको सफल आरोहण गरेका छन्। यही फेब्रुअरी ६, २०२५ मा अर्जेन्टिना स्थित माउण्ट अकोन्कागुआको सफलतापूर्वक आरोहण गरेका हुन्।
आरोही पाण्डेले अकोन्कागुआको शिखरमा स्थानीय समय अनुसार बिहान ७:५० बजे चन्द्रसूर्य अंकित नेपाली राष्ट्रिय झण्डा फहराएका थिए। सेभेन समिट आरोहण गर्ने अभियान बोकेका पाण्डेले नेपाली राष्ट्रिय झण्डा लिई जनवरी २१, २०२५ मा अर्जेन्टिनाको ब्युनस आयर्सतर्फ प्रस्थान गरेका थिए।
पर्वतारोहणको क्षेत्रमा विशेष मानिने सेभन समिट अभियानमा उनको यो चौथो हिमाल आरोहण हो। समग्रमा उनको यो ११ औं आरोहण हो। उनी २०२२ देखि यस अभियानमा रहेका छन्। यस अभियानमा उनीसँग किर्तिमानी पर्वतारोही चतुर तामाङ्ग पनि रहेका छन्। अन्य मुलुकमा पनि पर्वतारोहणमा सक्रिय रहेका पर्वतारोही तामाङ्गले सातपटक सगरमाथा आरोहण गरिसकेका छन्।
आरोही पाण्डेले यसअघि आरोही तामाङ्गसँगै रुसमा रहेको सर्वोच्च युरोपेली हिमाल माउण्ट एलब्रुस चढेका थिए भने पाण्डेले तान्जानियामा रहेको अफ्रिकी महादेशको उच्च हिमशिखर किलिमन्जारोको पनि सफल आरोहण गरिसकेका छन्। उनले स्वदेशमै रहेको किलर माउन्टेन भनिने मनास्लु हिमाल र टेक्निकल मानिएको आमादब्लम हिमालको पनि सफल आरोहण गरिसकेका छन्। उचाई धेरै नभए पनि यो आरोहण निकै चुनौतीपूर्ण रहेको आरोही पाण्डेले बताए। उक्त क्षेत्रमा छिटो छिटो परिवर्तन भइरहने मौसमका कारण यो आरोहण सगरमाथा चढे जतिकै कठिन महशुश गरेको उनले बताए।पाण्डेले मकालु आउटफिटको ब्राण्डमा हिमाल आरोहण गर्दै आइरहेका छन्।
आरोहणमा नेपाली झण्डा सहित आफु संलग्न युवा अभियान नेपाल स्काउट र रोटरी इन्टरनेशनल समेतका सामाजिक संस्थाहरुको झण्डा पनि ती संस्थाहरुको प्रतिनिधित्व गर्दै आफूले फहराउन पाउँदा खुसी लागेको उनले बताए।
हिमाल आरोहण अभियानकै क्रममा जलवायु परिवर्तनको मुद्दा पनि उठाउने बताएका पाण्डेले सो सम्बन्धमा स्थानीय सरोकारवालाहरुसँग अन्तरक्रिया पनि गरेको बताए। जलवायु परिवर्तनका कारणले नेपाल सहित जैविक विविधिता युक्त तथा विशिष्ट भौगोलिक अवस्थिति भएका मुलुकले अनपेक्षित क्षति र समस्याहरु व्यहोर्नु परिरहेको उनले बताए। जलवायु परिवर्तनका लागि जिम्मेवारी नगन्य रहे पनि यसको असरले गरिब देशहरु गरिबीको दुश्चक्रमा झनैं फँस्ने उनको विचार छ। यसबाट बाहिर निस्कन हामीले हाम्रो जीवन पद्धति बदल्न तयार रहनुपर्ने समेत उनको राय छ।
